Der erste Teil des (Kurz-)Filmprogramms zeigt drei kritische Positionen aus dem Genre des Afrofuturismus. Hier werden Zukünfte auf Basis (westlicher) Wertesysteme sowie technologischem und ökonomischem Fortschritt imaginiert, diesen jedoch eine nicht-westliche Perspektive entgegengestellt.
The first part of the (short) film programme highlights three critical positions from the field of Afrofuturism. Here, futures are speculated on the basis of (Western) value systems as well as technological and economical progress, though contrasted by a non-Western perspective.

Der zweite Teil des (Kurz-)Filmprogramms widmet sich den gegenwärtigen Aneignungen bzw. dem ‚afterlife‘ modernistischer Architekturen, die als Symbol und Ausdruck des technischen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Fortschritts in den Jahren nach der Unabhängigkeit entstanden sind.
The second part of the (short) film programme is dedicated to the current appropriation, respectively the ‚afterlife‘, of modernist architecture, which emerged as a symbol and representation of technological, economic and social progress in the years following independence.
